PRAIRIE VIEW – Audrey Garcia's single to left center in an extended inning caps off a 9-8 comeback victory against the Arkansas Pine Bluff Lady Lions on Friday, afternoon.
 
How it Happened:

• Prairie View jumped out front with a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first as Bivianna Figueroa crossed the plate on a wild pitch.  Scoring again in the bottom of the second Brelyn Senegal opened up the frame with a RBI homerun.
• Brandi Juarez scored on a sac fly by Taliya Talley to advance the lead to 3-0.  Figueroa scored again this time stealing home.
• Pine Bluff finally got on the board in the top of the fourth for a 4-2 score in favor of the Lady Panthers. On some big hits by the Golden Lady Lions a 6-5 lead came into play for UAPB.  In the top of the sixth Arkansas Pine Bluff added another run for a 7-5 lead.
• The bottom of the seventh the Lady Panthers knotted the game as Jaylyn Davis hit a two RBI homer to center field.  With the game being extended UAPB added a final eighth run to take a 8-7 lead, before PVAMU Jerrica Rojas hit the third home run of the game for the Lady Panthers to knot the game for a second time.  With runners on first and second a RBI single scored Maya Barnes for a walk off final score of 9-8.
• Davis led the offense going 2-for-2 and 2 RBI, while Hailey Elizarraras earned the win on the mound for PVAMU.

 
Up next the Lady Panthers will return to play as they continue to host the Lady Lions for doubleheader action starting at 12 p.m. on Saturday, April 16 at the PVAMU Softball Complex.
