PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas --The Prairie View A&M Lady Panthers rallied from down 1-0 in the fifth inning to beat the Jarvis Christian Bulldogs 2-1 Monday.
Sophomore Cailin Massey (1-4) started in the circle and picked up the win for Prairie View A&M (1-10). The right-hander went seven innings, giving up one run on three hits, allowing one walk and striking out nine.
Junior Audrey Garcia led the way offensively for the Lady Panthers, going 2-for-3 in the ballgame with a double and two RBI.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Lady Panthers were trailing 1-0 in the sixth inning when they first put runs on the board. Prairie View A&M scored twice on a two-run double off the bat of Garcia. The score remained 2-1 for the rest of the game, as the Lady Panthers held on for the win.
