STEPHENVILLE, TX --Junior Hunter Day and junior Zach Poe combined to throw a shutout on Sunday as the Tarleton State Texans blanked the Prairie View A&M Panthers 13-0.
Junior Michael Dews (0-2) started and took the loss on the mound for Prairie View A&M (2-10).
Sophomore Garrison Weiss led the way offensively for the Panthers, going 2-for-3 in the ballgame.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Prairie View A&M managed one chance with runners on third in the shutout, going a total of 1-for-3 with runners in scoring position. The Panthers last got a runner on third in the sixth, when sophomore Blake Redman made it 90 feet away from scoring with one out.
GAME NOTES
» Prairie View A&M pitchers faced 37 Tarleton State hitters in the game, allowing seven ground balls and five fly balls while striking out five.
