PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas --Junior Jerrica Rojas was dealing on Saturday, throwing a one-hit shutout to lead the Prairie View A&M Lady Panthers over the Grambling Lady Tigers 3-0.
Rojas (6-0) went the distance for Prairie View A&M (21-15, 17-0), giving up one hit, walking two and striking out seven.
At the plate, the Lady Panthers were led by junior Jaylyn Davis, who went 1-for-2 on the day with a walk and an RBI. Sophomore Aerin Talley compiled a noteworthy day at the dish as well, going 1-for-3 with an RBI. Sophomore Rayna Lewis also helped out for Prairie View A&M, putting together two hits in three trips to the plate.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Lady Panthers took the lead for good in the third, scoring for the first time in the inning. Prairie View A&M scored twice, with one run coming across on Davis' single.
The Lady Panthers also added a run in the fifth inning to complete their scoring in the ballgame.

PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas --The Prairie View A&M Lady Panthers had a tough showing on Thursday, falling to the Grambling Lady Tigers by final score of 9-1.
Junior Breanna Reyna (2-4) started and took the loss in the circle for Prairie View A&M (21-16, 17-1).
In the batter's box, the Lady Panthers were paced by junior Jaylyn Davis, who went 1-for-2 on the day with a walk and an RBI. Freshman Mia Nunez furnished a noteworthy day at the plate as well, going 1-for-4 with a double.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Lady Panthers got on the board immediately, starting their scoring with one run in the bottom of the first inning. Prairie View A&M got an RBI single from Davis, scoring Nunez from third base. The Lady Panthers were unable to hold the lead, as Grambling scored nine times over the remaining six innings to grab the 9-1 win.
