PINE BLUFF, Ark.--Sophomore Cailin Massey was dealing on Thursday, throwing a five-hit shutout to lead the Prairie View A&M Lady Panthers past the UAPB Lady Lions 3-0.
Massey (7-5) went the distance for Prairie View A&M (16-15, ), giving up five hits, walking two, and striking out four.
Junior Audrey Garcia led the way offensively for the Lady Panthers, going 1-for-1 in the ballgame with a double and two walks. Senior Taliya Talley put together a noteworthy day at the dish as well, going 1-for-3 with two RBI. Freshman Mia Nunez also contributed, going 1-for-3 for Prairie View A&M with a double.

The Lady Panthers took the lead for good in the first, scoring for the first and only time in the inning. Prairie View A&M scored three runs in the frame, highlighted by a two-run single off the bat of Talley.
