PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas - The six-time Prairie View A&M Lady Panthers Bowling SWAC Championship program continues to forge toward the future with the signing of two high school standouts Skylar Alexander and Caroline Lewis for the 2023-24 campaign.

A native of Marrero, La. Alexander will join the PVAMU bowling team from the Academy of Our Lady.  During her three years of competing, Alexander was a Louisiana 18u Pepsi Tournament qualifier.  In her senior year of high school, she earned the girls league awards for the highest score game, Most Improved Average (143 to 164), in 2021 she had the highest handicap series.  Was an Individual Louisiana State Championship Participant (2021, 2022, and 2023-10th place finish), a second-team All-District 2021 recipient and was named to the 2022 and 2023 First Team All-District.  Alexander was also a two-time LHSAA District Champion and earned third place in 2022 on the Louisiana State Baker Team while earning a second-place spot on the 2023 team.

Lewis is a native of Kenosha Wisconsin and a senior out of Tremper High School.  She plans to major in marketing and have a double minor in business analytics and human resources. Lewis was a four-year member of the Tremper girl's bowling team and a varsity starter for the last three seasons earning accomplishments at both the high school and league levels.

Lewis's accomplishments include Kenosha Youth City Tournament Championships in both doubles and team, Gabe Savaglio Tournament Father/Daughter Champion, Wisconsin State Middle School Team  Champion and third place finishes, Wisconsin State Middle School Singles second-place finish, Wisconsin State High School Team second place and seventh place finishes, middle school district singles second place finish, Wisconsin Pepsi State Singles second and seventh place finishes, Wisconsin High School mixed doubles second place finish and mid-winter classic second place team finish.

Outside league and high school competition, now finished for the year, Lewis has been entering events on the Junior Bowling Scholarship Tour, which tours in Wisconsin and Illinois. And on April 8, she participated in the kickoff pro-am for the PBA World Series of Bowling XIV, held at Bowlero in Wauwatosa, Wis.  Competing in the pro-am event Lewis — who entered with a game average of 174 — fired games of 199, 181, and 245 for a 625 series. That was good for a 748 score when handicapped, which put Lewis in first place in the event.
On April 18, during a national PBA telecast on Fox Sports 1, Lewis received her first-place award for the pro-am during the finals of the PBA WSOB Scorpion Championships.

"I am excited to have both of these young ladies join the Prairie View A&M family and the Lady Panthers Bowling team," Head PVAMU Bowling Coach Glenn White said.  "They come with great personalities, high academic standards, and good bowling skill potentials. I think they will be great additions to the team and I'm looking forward to working with them."
