HOUSTON, Texas --Sophomore Katie Noble and sophomore Bailey Brumley combined to throw a shutout on Saturday as the UMKC Kangaroos blanked the Prairie View A&M Panthers 10-0.
Senior Breanna Reyna (1-3) got the ball to start for Prairie View A&M (4-10) and took the loss. Senior Jerrica Rojas was a bright spot for the Panthers, coming out of the bullpen and throwing two innings, giving up two runs, zero earned, on two hits, with two walks and two strikeouts.
At the plate, the Panthers were paced by senior Jaylyn Davis, who went 1-for-2 on the day with a double.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Prairie View A&M managed zero chances with runners on third in the shutout, going a total of 1-for-4 with runners in scoring position. The Panthers last got a runner on third in the fourth, when junior Hannah Garza made it 60 feet away from scoring with one out.
GAME NOTES
