SAN ANTONIO, TX -- The Prairie View A&M Panthers dropped the 2024 season opener 3-0 to Lindenwood.
Junior Cailin Massey (0-1) started and took the loss in the circle for Prairie View A&M (0-1). The right-hander went six innings, giving up three runs, all of them earned, on seven hits, allowing no walks and striking out one.
Offensively, the Panthers were paced by sophomore Mia Nunez, who went 1-for-2 on the day with a walk.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Prairie View A&M managed zero chances with runners on third in the shutout, going a total of 0-for-2 with runners in scoring position. The Panthers last got a runner on third in the fourth, when senior Biviana Figueroa made it 60 feet away from scoring with two outs.
