Outdoor Track and Field set to host the 90th PV Relays

PRAIRIE VIEW – The Prairie View A&M men's and women's track teams are set to host the 90th annual Prairie View Relays on Friday and Saturday, March 22-23 on the beautiful campus of Prairie View A&M.

One of the fastest-growing meets in the state of Texas, the 2024 PV Relays will provide a proving ground for several collegiate and high school teams from across the state and region. Additionally, professional athletes are expected to compete as well, setting the stage for one of the most competitive meets of this season.

Meet Info:
Start Time: Mar. 22, 2024, 9:30 a.m - Field Events, running events 4:00 p.m. 
Participating Teams: PVAMU, Central Oklahoma, Huston-Tillotson, North American, Philander Smith, Southwestern Christian College, Texas College Texas Southern, Victoria College, and Wiley University.

PVAMU Notes:
- Sophomore A'Marie Khan enters this weekend ranked 7th in the 100 meters (12:30) in the SWAC
- Junior Zara Richardson is ranked third in the 800 meters with a time of 2:19.65 in the SWAC; Freshman Maya Clark is ranked 6th (2:24.61) and Sophomore Miracle Price is ranked 10th (2:28.65 in the same event
- Freshman Christina Fitzpatrick is ranked 1st in the conference in the 5000 meters (20:22.66), while Titilope Akinwunmi is ranked third (23:45.49)
- Senior Maci Guy is ranked 1st in the SWAC in the Pole Vault event with a mark of 3.35m, while junior Syriah Burks is ranked second in the conference in the same event with a mark of 2.89m.  Freshman Madison Muckelroy is ranked fourth  (2.59m), while juniors Morgan Davila and Jordyn Hubbert are tied for fifth with the mark of 2.43m.  
- Freshman Keonna Otis ranks fifth in the shot put in the conference with a 12.58m mark while ranking 1st in the discus with a 42.86m mark.
- On the men's side senior Isaiah Barnes ranks sixth in the SWAC in the 100 meters with a time of 10.62
-Graduating senior Arrion Knight is ranked second in the conference with a time of 14.27 in the 110 hurdles. He also ranks third in the 400 hurdles with a time of 54.72.  His teammate sophomore Anthony Managram ranks fourth with a time of 55.80 in the same event. 
 - The 4x100 relay team is ranked 5th in the conference with a time of 41.30 and they are ranked third in the 4x400 relay with a time of 3:14.47.
- In the field events for the men's team senior Damion Phillips ranks 5th in the Pole Vault with a mark of 3.65m
- Junior Jaden Harris holds a second-place ranking in the SWAC in the long jump with a mark of 7.38m, while his teammate sophomore is ranked fourth in the same event with a mark of 7.19m.
- Graduating senior Darius Jackson-Rubio is ranked third in the conference in the hammer with a mark of 43.59
- Graduating senior Michael Bogues is ranked third in the Javelin with a mark of 49.56 and Jackson-Rubio is ranked sixth in the same field event with a mark of 41.33m.
