The Defending Bowling Champs Concludes 2023-24 Season Earlier then Normal at SWAC Championship Tournament

ARLINGTON, TX - The Prairie View A&M's reign as bowling champions came to an end this past weekend as they fell in the quarterfinal round of the 2024 SWAC Bowling Championship at the Bowling ITRC.

The Lady Panthers got off to a slow start as they finished fifth in total pinfall en route to clinching the No. 5 seed during the east and west SWAC roundups.

During tourney play, PVAMU opened with a 4-1 ( decision over TSU in match one moving the Lady Panthers to face #1 seed Southern University.  Prairie View A&M fell to the consolation bracket after falling 4-2 to the Lady Jaguars.  PV saw the season come to an end in heartbreaking fashion as they dropped a 4-3 decision to Jackson State.  During the match against JSU, PVAMU had some of its best games with marks of 205, and 203.

Jayda Gordon finished in the top 10 of the SWAC individual standings at number eight overall.

For the Lady Panthers head bowling coach Glenn White this will be his final season with PVAMU as he announced his retirement last week during the Music City Classic hosted by Vanderbilt.  White is set to finalize his paperwork on July 31.
