The Prairie View A&M Panthers showcased their skills at the prestigious White Sands Invitational held on October 24, 2025, at The Oceans Golf Club in Paradise Island, The Bahamas. Participating in a highly competitive women's collegiate golf tournament, the Panthers faced off against a variety of universities including Miami, USF, High Point, Middle Tennessee, Northern Illinois, and Ohio University.
Throughout the three-round tournament, the Panthers demonstrated resilience and improvement. The team's total stroke score was 1016 across 27 holes over three rounds. The first round saw the team accumulating 247 strokes, with subsequent rounds marking a rise in performance with 337 and 332 strokes respectively. This scoring trajectory indicated a significant effort from the team to adjust and improve as the tournament progressed.
Individually, the Panthers had notable performances from several players.
Nevaeh Figueroa led the team, finishing 34th overall, with her scores decreasing each round, starting at 93 in the first round and ending with 79 strokes in the third. Close behind were
Kacey Menyoli, who tied for 35th place and showed consistency throughout the tournament, and
Briann Briggs, who was ranked 37th with her best performance in the third round at 82 strokes. Additional contributions came from
Micaiah Joubert and
Madison Williams, whose performances across the rounds contributed to the team's overall effort.

Looking forward to their next competition, the Panthers are set to participate in the SWAC Invitational, which will take place from November 18-18, 2025, at the RTJ Oxmoor Valley Golf Club in Birmingham, Alabama. The team is expected to utilize the experiences and insights gained from the White Sands Invitational to enhance their performance in the upcoming tournament.
