Women's Golf Opens NCAA Regional Play in Waco with First National Postseason Berth

5/10/2026 1:04:00 PM

Prairie View A&M will begin NCAA Regional play Monday at Ridgewood Country Club in Waco, Texas, a milestone moment for a Panthers program making its first appearance in the NCAA women's golf regionals.

The Panthers earned their place in the field by securing the first SWAC championship in program history in early April, and they now step into one of the deepest regional lineups in the country. The Waco site includes Texas A&M, Oregon, Tennessee, SMU, Baylor, LSU, TCU, Tulsa, Colorado, Northern Arizona and Tarleton State.

Prairie View A&M's lineup to watch includes Kacey Menyoli, Fernanda Rendon, Briann Briggs, Michaiah Joubert, Madison Williams and Nevaeh Figueroa. That group will be tasked with handling a Ridgewood course setup that should test consistency across all three rounds against a field filled with power-conference programs. For the Panthers, the challenge is not only managing the course, but also staying within reach of the advancing positions in an event where every stroke can shift both the team race and the battle for the individual qualifying spot.

This week also offers Prairie View A&M a chance to measure the progress of a program that has already rewritten its history this season. The Panthers arrive with momentum from their conference title and with an opportunity to extend their postseason run against national-caliber competition.

Live scoring will be available online.
