Prairie View A&M women's golf will begins their new season today at the Red Raider Invitational on Sept. 22-23 at The Rawls Course in Lubbock, Texas. The season opener is scheduled to begin Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. CDT and will provide an early test for a program returning from a historic spring.
The Panthers beings their fall season for 2026 after winning their first Southwestern Athletic Conference championship and advancing to the NCAA regionals in the spring. That breakthrough raised the program's profile and gives Prairie View A&M a strong foundation entering the fall. The Red Raider Invitational offers the returning lineup its first chance to establish a competitive rhythm while measuring itself against a deep field.
Prairie View A&M's lineup includes returning golfers Nevaeh Figueroa, Ariell Belser, Fernanda Rendon, Juliann Manalili and Madison Williams. Their experience from the SWAC championship run and NCAA regional appearance will be important over the two-day event. Consistent approach play, careful course management and avoiding costly holes will be central to the Panthers' performance at The Rawls Course.
The field includes Texas Tech, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, Sam Houston, Abilene Christian, Brigham Young, New Mexico, UTEP, Incarnate Word, Houston Christian, UT Arlington and Stephen F. Austin. With several regional programs and established Division I opponents in the tournament, Prairie View A&M will have an immediate opportunity to evaluate its returning lineup against a broad range of competition. Live scoring will be provided through Scoreboard throughout the tournament.
The opener begins the Panthers' next chapter after their championship season. Prairie View A&M's returning group will look to carry forward the composure that fueled last spring's postseason run, beginning with two days of golf in Lubbock and an early opportunity to set the standard for the season ahead.
