PRAIRIE VIEW, TX --The Prairie View A&M volleyball team cruised to a 3-0 win (25-16, 25-10, 25-20) against the Mississippi Valley State Delta Devils Friday at home at Baby Dome for their home opener.
The conference win improved Prairie View A&M's record to 6-10 overall and 3-0 in SWAC play.
The Lady Panthers attack was paced by Kylee Owens, who finished with 12 kills on the day while accumulating a hitting percentage of .417, and by D'Mya Hill, who had 11 while hitting .733. got 15 digs from Leila Smalls to lead them defensively.

How It Happened
SET 1 | The Lady Panthers grabbed the first set 25-16 powered by a strong showing on the attacking side. Prairie View A&M put together a .375 attack percentage with 14 kills in the set victory. The Lady Panthers ended on a strong note, stretching their lead to its largest point in the set to finish out the stanza. Prairie View A&M also supplemented their offense with three aces in the opening set.
SET 2 | Prairie View A&M built on a set-one win by securing a 25-10 victory in set two. The Lady Panthers grabbed control of the set lead early on at 2-1 and never trailed. Prairie View A&M opened its biggest lead of the stanza, 15 points, to finish off the set, collecting 15 kills while only registering one attack error in the process.
SET 3 | Prairie View A&M took the third set to win in straight sets. The Lady Panthers the set the third set 25-20. Prairie View A&M took the lead for good at 7-6 in a set that showcased three lead changes before the Lady Panthers took over the lead.
The Lady Panthers will continue conference play at home when they host the Jackson State Lady Tigers for a 2:00 pm first serve inside the William J. Nicks Building.
