BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Southwestern Athletic Conference will host its annual SWAC Women's Basketball Media Day on Tuesday, October 7, beginning at 10:00 a.m. CST at the Embassy Suites in Birmingham, Alabama.

The event marks the official tipoff of the 2025-26 women's basketball season, bringing together all 12 SWAC head coaches and selected student-athletes for a day of interviews, media sessions, and discussions on the season ahead. Fans can tune in to the live broadcast on SWAC TV for exclusive coverage, insights, and preseason perspectives from across the conference.

Representing Prairie View A&M University, is new head coach Tai Dillard and she will be joined by guard CJ Wilson and center/forward Ja'nya Polk. The trio will share their thoughts on preseason preparation, team goals, and the Panthers' outlook as they begin a new era under Coach Dillard's leadership.

Media Day provides a platform for student-athletes and coaches to highlight their programs while previewing key storylines that will shape another exciting year of SWAC women's basketball.
