PENSACOLA, FL --The Prairie View A&M men's basketball team went into the halftime break trailing North Florida 44-32, but fought back from the deficit to knock off the Ospreys 85-82 at Pensacola Bay Center Sunday.

The Panthers (3-4) had four players score in double figures, led by Tai'Reon Joseph, who had 25 points. Dontae Horne added 22 points and six steals and Keeshawn Mason helped out with a double-double with 15 points and 12 rebounds.

Prairie View A&M out-rebounded North Florida 36-35 in Sunday's game, led by Mason's 12 boards. The Panthers also collected 21 offensive rebounds and scored 11 second chance points.

Prairie View A&M forced 21 North Florida turnovers while committing 10 themselves in Sunday's game. The Panthers turned those takeaways into 27 points on the other end of the floor. Horne's six steals led the way for Prairie View A&M.

Prairie View A&M struggled out of the gate, falling behind 44-32 heading into halftime.

Prairie View A&M narrowed its deficit to 67-60 before going on a 9-0 run to seize a 69-67 lead with 5:47 to go in the contest. The Panthers kept expanding the margin and coasted the rest of the way for the 85-82 win. Prairie View A&M got out on the break in the period, scoring 12 fast break points.
