Tai'Reon Joseph was named the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Player of the Week, the league office announced, following an outstanding week of competition.
Joseph delivered a pair of impressive performances to lead the Panthers, averaging 30.0 points per game while shooting 54.1 percent from the field. He also connected on 50.0 percent of his three-point attempts and 82.4 percent from the free-throw line, showcasing his efficiency and scoring versatility.
The senior guard opened the week with 26 points in a win over Paul Quinn College, going 8-of-16 from the floor while adding three three-pointers. He followed that effort with a season-high 34-point performance on the road at LSU, logging 39 minutes and knocking down five three-pointers against the nationally recognized opponent.
Joseph's consistent offensive production and leadership were instrumental for the Panthers during the week and earned him conference-wide recognition as one of the SWAC's top performers.
Prairie View A&M will return to action as the Panthers continue non-conference play before opening SWAC competition later this season.
