The softball team is set to square off against the University of Arkansas - Pine Bluff Lions in a three-game series at the PVAMU Softball Complex. The Panthers, who currently have a season record of 10 wins and 12 losses, including a 4-1 record in SWAC play, will host the games with the first matchup scheduled for Friday, March 21, 2025, at 12pm, followed by the second and third games on Saturday at 12pm and 3pm respectively.

This series is particularly noteworthy as Prairie View A&M has historically dominated this matchup, winning 32 of the last 42 games against the Lions, including the last 9 consecutive games. Additionally, the Panthers triumphed in all four games of last year's series held in April 2024. Under the leadership of Head Coach Venon Bland, the Panthers aim to continue their impressive record against UAPB and progress further in their season standings.

The series promises to be an exciting event for softball fans, with back-to-back games offering plenty of action over the weekend. As the home team, Prairie View A&M looks to leverage their home field advantage and deepen their success in the conference, aiming to improve upon their promising SWAC standings thus far.
