PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas - In a challenging regular match doubleheader on March 21, 2025, the Prairie View A&M Panthers men's tennis team experienced a tough day on their home courts as they were defeated by the Lamar Cardinals with a score of 4-0.
The Panthers, representing Prairie View A&M, couldn't overcome the solid performances from the Cardinals' players. Standout singles matches saw Stefano Chappuis of Lamar dominate against
Ashton Bunch from Prairie View A&M with a score of 6-1, 6-0. In another match, Santiago Ledesma from Lamar secured a decisive victory over
Ryan Boone of Prairie View A&M with identical sets of 6-0, 6-0.
In doubles, the partnership of Fabian Anthin and Guy Dagan from Lamar proved too strong for Peter-Gooding and Isa from Prairie View A&M, wrapping up their match at 6-1. Overall, Lamar University showcased their prowess by dominating both the singles and doubles brackets, leaving little room for the Panthers to maneuver.
