MONTGOMERY, Ala. -  a challenging conference showdown on Friday, March 28, 2025, the Prairie View A&M Lady Panthers, led by their women's tennis team, were overtaken by the Alabama State Lady Hornets at the Olean Black Underwood Tennis Center in Montgomery, Ala. The match concluded with Alabama State claiming victory in both singles and doubles, finalizing the score at Prairie View 0, Alabama State 3 in singles, and Prairie View 0, Alabama State 1 in doubles.

Ena Arnautovic of Alabama State who defeated Precious Ugochukwu of Prairie View in straight sets, 6-3, 6-0, in one of the singles matches. Additionally, the doubles team of Arnautovic and Cleanne Pickel secured a win against Panthers' Daniela Garcia and Andrea Blanca with a score of 6-2. Amidst the setbacks, Ainara Rodriguez from Prairie View showed resilience by tying her singles match against Diana Craciun from Alabama State.

The day ended with Alabama State reflecting a broader match score for the SWAC Roundup in Montgomery, Ala.  The Panthers are currently positioned at 4-19 overall, with a 4-2 record in the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC).
