ARLINGTON, Texas — The Prairie View A&M Panthers women's tennis team faced a challenging encounter against the UT Arlington Mavericks on April 6, 2025, at the UTA Tennis Center. Despite spirited efforts, the Panthers could not overcome the Mavericks, who clinched the match with a decisive 4-0 victory.

Precious Ugochukwu took a loss in straight sets, with a score of 6-0, 6-0. Meanwhile, Joanne Fernandes fell in singles play, with scores of 6-0 and 6-2. In doubles action, Panthers' Cierra Garcia and Precious Ugochukwu took a 6-1 loss, and Amaya Bobadilla and Ainara Ve Rodriguez finished with a score of 6-3. Despite the tough competition, the Panthers demonstrated resilience and determination.

Looking ahead, will prepare for their next encounter against Grambling State University, scheduled for April 7, 2025, at the Prairie View A&M Tennis Complex.
