Prairie View A&M's track and field sprinter,
Christion Derrick, is set to compete in the NCAA West Regionals at E.B. Cushing Stadium on the Texas A&M campus in College Station, Texas. The first round of the 400m event will take place on May 28, where Derrick is scheduled to run at 7:25 PM.
This marks the second time Derrick has qualified for the NCAA Regionals; he previously competed in 2024. Currently, he holds the 41st rank in his event with a qualifying time of 46.00 seconds, recently achieved at the SWAC Championships. His performance on Tuesday will be critical as he aims to be among the top 24 to advance to the quarterfinals on Friday.
