SWAC Runners of the Week
During the season, Noah Green and Thierry Garcon received SWAC Runner of the Week honors.
Noah Green was named SWAC Runner of the Week on the week of September 8 for his performance at the UT Tyler XC Invitational, where he placed 11th in the 4-mile race in 21:16.00.
Thierry Garcon received SWAC Runner of the Week on the week of October 7 for his performance at the DBU Old Glory Gallup. He ran a time of 25:48 in the men's 8K.
SWAC Championships – 2nd Place Finish
At the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Cross Country Championships held on October 21 in Tallahassee, Florida, the Panthers secured a second-place finish with a team score of 85 points.
- Thierry Garcon led the team with a second-place individual finish, recording a time of 26:08.2.
- Noah Green followed closely in fourth place with a time of 26:27.1.
- Additional contributors included Jerrell Reynolds (13th), Kejun Wilson (23rd), and Jaiden Johnson (43rd).
- Both Garcon and Green earned SWAC First Team honors for their exceptional performances.
NCAA South Central Regional Championships
Two athletes advanced to compete at the NCAA South Central Championships. Thierry Garcon and Noah Green recorded remarkable performances at the meet on November 15 in College Station, Texas.
Both runners demonstrated commendable efforts, marking a strong end to the cross-country season.
UT Tyler Cross Country Meet Recap
On September 7, 2024, the PVAMU men's cross country team competed at the UT Tyler XC Opener, delivering a strong team performance. The Panthers finished in 3rd place overall, highlighted by impressive individual efforts.
- Noah Green secured 11th place with a commendable time of 21:16.00.
- Thierry Garcon also made a remarkable mark, finishing in the top 20 with a time of 21:25.90.
