Women's Golf Season Recap

The Prairie View A&M women's golf team had a standout 2024–25 campaign, capped by strong finishes and impressive individual efforts:

  • Women in Golf Foundation Invitational (April 1–2, Katy, TX)
    PVAMU placed 3rd as a team. While official individual scores weren't listed, several Lady Panthers carded rounds in the low-to-mid 70s, consistently contributing to the podium finish.

  • "Mo" Morial Invitational (April 7–8, College Station, TX)
    The team again claimed a top-3 finish at Texas A&M's Traditions Club. Though individual scores weren't publicly reported, PVAMU was among the top three team scorers.

  • SWAC Championship (April 14–16, Birmingham, AL)
    Prairie View A&M secured 4th place. Specific individual leaderboard details remain elusive, but the overall consistency across three rounds kept PVAMU in strong standing.

  • PGA Works Collegiate Championship (May 5–7, Whistling Straits, WI)
    The team finished 4th with a total of 976 strokes (+112 over par) across three rounds: 309 + 322 + 345.

    • Briann Briggs tied for 4th individually, shooting 76–73–83 = 232 (+16) .

    • Micaiah Joubert tied for 8th with scores of 73–79–84 = 236 (+20) .

Overall, the Lady Panthers combined strong team depth with standout performances from Briggs and Joubert to post multiple top-3 finishes and two top-4 placings at major tournaments. With consistent scoring and rising individual talent, PVAMU solidified itself as a competitive force heading toward next season.
