PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas – The Prairie View A&M women's soccer team opened their 2025 season at home on Sunday afternoon, battling through a tough first half before ultimately falling 3-0 to the University of North Dakota at the PVAMU Soccer Complex.

The Panthers held their ground through a scoreless first half, showcasing strong defensive organization and goalkeeping to keep the Fighting Hawks at bay. Despite several chances on both sides, neither team could break through the stalemate before the break.

North Dakota found momentum in the second half, netting three unanswered goals to pull away. While PVAMU continued to fight and create opportunities, they were unable to convert in the final third.

PVAMU return to their home field on Thursday, August 21, when they host the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. Kickoff is set for 7:00pm at the PVAMU Soccer Complex.
