SAN ANTONIO, TX --The Prairie View A&M volleyball team fell to the North Florida Ospreys in straight sets (20-25, 22-25, 15-25) Friday at Convocation Center.

The non-conference loss dropped Prairie View A&M to 2-9 on the season.

Kylee Owens finished with 11 kills on the day to lead the Lady Panthers offense. got 10 digs from Makinzie Taplin to lead them defensively.

The No. Prairie View A&M volleyball team fought back from a 2-0 deficit to secure a comeback five-set victory (19-25, 15-25, 25-21, 25-22, 17-15) against the UT Arlington Mavericks Friday at Convocation Center.

The out-of-conference victory improved Prairie View A&M's overall record to 3-9 on the season.

The Lady Panthers were led by a double-double from Kylee Owens, who registered 15 kills and 10 digs on the day. Terasita Caldwell also added eight kills to help the attack. On the defensive end, Ariana Spell chipped in for with 22 digs to go with eight blocks from Valencia Wilder.

SET 2 | Prairie View A&M lost the second set 25-15, digging a 2-0 deficit in the match. Prairie View A&M trailed by as many as 12 points as UT Arlington grabbed the advantage for good at 3-2 in a set that was tied up six times before the Mavericks took over the lead.

SET 3 | Prairie View A&M fought back to pull within two sets to one, winning their first set of the match in the third stanza. The Lady Panthers persevered in a back-and-forth set to win 25-21 in a stanza that featured five lead changes and was tied nine times. Neither team opened up a lead of more than four points along the way. The Prairie View A&M offense also got a boost from three aces in the stanza. Prairie View A&M's front row had a solid defensive performance, blocking six UT Arlington attacks in the stanza.

SET 4 | Prairie View A&M then kept the comeback train rolling, winning the fourth set 25-22 to bring the match level at two sets apiece. A dominant defensive effort from the front row helped the Lady Panthers earn a set victory. Prairie View A&M totaled nine blocks in the set win. The Lady Panthers opened up a 24-19 lead in the stanza and coasted to victory from there.

SET 5 | Prairie View A&M dropped the first two sets, but mounted an epic comeback to win the next three sets, culminating in a 17-15 fifth-set victory, and take the match 3-2. The Lady Panthers came out on top of a close fifth-set battle, winning a stanza that was tied six times and had four lead changes.
