Tai'Reon Joseph has been named the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Men's Basketball Player of the Week, the league announced Monday.
Joseph continued his dominant play with strong performances against Grambling State and Southern University, leading the Panthers on both ends of the floor.
Against Grambling State on Jan. 3, Joseph logged 21 points in 40 minutes of action, knocking down 8-of-22 field goals, including three three-pointers, while adding four assists and six steals.
He followed with an efficient outing versus Southern University on Jan. 5, scoring 32 points on 12-of-19 shooting, including 4-of-7 from beyond the arc, while pulling down five rebounds and dishing out four assists.
Joseph's consistent scoring, perimeter shooting, and defensive presence have anchored Prairie View A&M during the early stretch of conference play, earning him back-to-back-to-back SWAC Player of the Week honors.
