Prairie View A&M Set for Road Test at Bethune-Cookman

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The Prairie View A&M men's basketball team heads back on the road Saturday, Feb. 7, for a key SWAC matchup against league leader Bethune-Cookman. Tipoff is set for 5:30 p.m. EST at Moore Gymnasium.

Last Time Out
Prairie View A&M enters the contest riding the momentum of an 85-78 victory in its last outing. After playing to a 17-17 tie early, the Panthers used a 9-0 run midway through the first half—capped by a bucket from Tai'Reon Joseph—to build a 26-17 advantage. The lead was short-lived as Prairie View went into halftime trailing 41-40.

Coming out of the break, the Panthers regained control and turned a tight 66-64 contest into a decisive win with an 11-0 run, highlighted by a Madimba layup that pushed the margin to 77-64 with 4:05 remaining. Prairie View held off a late push and cruised to the seven-point win.

Joseph poured in a game-high 31 points, while Horne added 23, as the duo—along with Madimba—accounted for 81 percent of the Panthers' scoring. Prairie View connected on nine three-pointers, forced 13 turnovers, and recorded five team blocks on the defensive end. Horne also led the Panthers on the glass with eight rebounds.

Scouting the Wildcats
Bethune-Cookman enters Saturday's matchup atop the SWAC standings and will look to protect its home court against a Panthers squad seeking to climb back above .500 in conference play.
