LORMAN, Miss. -- Kayla Adams was dealing on Friday, tossing a two-hit shutout to lead the Prairie View A&M Panthers past the Alcorn State Lady Braves 12-0.

Adams (7-4) went the distance for Prairie View A&M (12-11, 4-0), giving up two hits, walking one and striking out two.

HOW IT HAPPENED

The Panthers took the lead for good in the first, scoring for the first time in the inning.

The Panthers then tacked on runs in four more innings, with their biggest output coming in the fifth when they scored three times. Two of those three runs scored on a two-run single off the bat of Za'Riya Bell-Morris.
