Dontae Horne and
Tai'Reon Joseph have been recognized for their outstanding performances during the 2025–26 season, earning All-Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) honors. Horne was selected to the All-SWAC First Team, while Joseph garnered All-SWAC Second Team recognition.
Horne has emerged as one of the most complete and impactful players in the conference this season. Appearing in all 29 games with 26 starts, he averages 30.7 minutes per contest while serving as a consistent leader for the Panthers.
The dynamic guard ranks among the conference's top offensive threats, averaging 19.7 points per game and totaling 570 points on the season. Horne shoots an efficient 44.9% from the field (181-of-403), while adding 35 three-pointers and converting 82.0% from the free-throw line (173-of-211), demonstrating reliability in crucial moments.
In addition to his scoring production, Horne contributes across the stat sheet, averaging 4.4 rebounds per game, 2.8 assists per game, and recording 60 steals. His defensive activity and ability to create turnovers consistently generate transition opportunities and momentum for the Panthers, highlighting his strong two-way impact.
Joseph also delivered a standout campaign for Prairie View A&M, emerging as one of the conference's most prolific scorers. The guard started all 23 games he appeared in while averaging a team-high 33.1 minutes per game, serving as the Panthers' offensive catalyst.
Joseph leads the team with 20.6 points per game, totaling 474 points while consistently producing against conference opponents. He shoots 41.8% from the field (164-of-392) and has connected on 59 three-pointers, showcasing his ability to stretch defenses and create his own scoring opportunities.
A versatile contributor, Joseph also averages 2.6 rebounds per game, while adding 46 assists and 30 steals. His scoring ability, leadership, and all-around play have made him one of the most difficult matchups in the SWAC throughout the season.
