2025-26 Athletic Training Student Aides Roster
Biography
Amaya "Maya" Natt, a junior from Missouri City, Texas, is pursuing a degree in Kinesiology at Prairie View A&M University. She graduated from Hightower High School and was inspired to become a student athletic trainer aide by growing up around football and volunteering at football camps coached by her father. This exposure sparked her passion for sports medicine and led her to pursue a career in the field.
Maya's favorite movie is The Little Rascals, and she enjoys listening to Druski. Her favorite foods include steak and red potatoes. She loves Thanksgiving because it's a time when her family can pause their busy lives and come together. In her free time, Maya enjoys fishing, making custom t-shirts, and traveling. She found working with the PVAMU softball team to be the most interesting, as it gave her a new perspective on the medical side of a sport she once played.
Maya believes that key skills for an athletic trainer aide include excellent communication, confidence, teamwork, professionalism, patience, and creativity. One of her most memorable moments as a student athletic trainer aide was finally getting to work the Saturday football games, experiencing the energy and excitement of the atmosphere, and hearing the band play. Looking ahead, Maya hopes to be an Athletic Trainer and Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) with the Arizona Cardinals within the next five years. She also plans to open her own cryotherapy lounge. Maya’s dream job is to work as an NFL athletic trainer. She chose Prairie View A&M in part because her twin brother influenced her decision to attend, and she has embraced the experience at PVAMU.
