Bri Maher begins her first year as an athletic trainer for Prairie View A&M University. She primarily works with the volleyball and women’s basketball teams, along with assisting in the oversight of the athletic training student aide internship at PVAMU.
She spent the past two years as an outreach athletic trainer for the Houston Methodist Hospital system. Recently she worked for Houston Methodist Sugarland where she served as an assistant athletic trainer at Ridge Point High School in Missouri City, Texas and mentored the current athletic training residency class. Previously, she was a part of Houston Methodist Willowbrook Athletic Training residency and served as the assistant athletic trainer at Tomball Memorial High School.
Maher is certified in Sports Manual Therapy, Orthopedic Regenerative Dry Needling, and Blood Flow Restriction.
Maher earned her bachelor’s degree in athletic training from San Diego State University in 2017 where she worked with the Aztecs’ football and rowing teams. She also spent time at University of California San Diego where she worked with the volleyball and baseball teams.
Maher is a nationally-certified athletic trainer through the Board of Certification and is licensed in the state of Texas.
