2025-26 Athletic Training Student Aides Roster
Biography
Darra Moton is a sophomore at Prairie View A&M University, where she majors in Kinesiology. Originally from Memphis, Darra graduated from Bartlett High School. Her passion for both sports and helping others led her to pursue a career in athletic training. She believes combining her love for sports with the opportunity to assist people brought her closer to her dream job, and being a student athletic trainer aide is a step in that direction.
Darra’s favorite movie is Encanto, and her go-to foods include salmon, chicken, broccoli, rice, and mac n cheese. She especially enjoys Halloween, appreciating the various events such as haunted houses, corn mazes, and pumpkin carving. In her spare time, Darra enjoys hanging out with friends. Though she has mostly worked with the football team, she is eager to work with basketball, as it is a sport she is more familiar with.
For Darra, an athletic trainer aide should be energetic, have a strong work ethic, and possess patience. One of her most memorable moments so far was waking up early and seeing the football field before the players arrived, reflecting on how proud she was of herself for making it into the program. In the next five years, Darra hopes to retain all the knowledge she has gained and apply it to further her career. Her ultimate goal is to become a Sports Medicine Physician. Darra chose Prairie View A&M because she is originally from Texas and was drawn to the school’s background and the opportunity to return home.
