2026-27 Athletic Training Student Aides Roster
Biography
Evan Soraya Pierre is a Junior double-majoring in Kinesiology and Psychology from Houston, Texas, and a graduate of Hightower High School. She chose Prairie View A&M University to work alongside a mentor who inspired her interest in athletic training, allowing her to accelerate her learning on staff. Evan was inspired to become a Student Athletic Trainer Aide by the joy of working behind the scenes and contributing her part to a much bigger game-day experience.
Believing that being teachable, open to learning new things, and never getting complacent are the key traits for an athletic trainer aide, Evan finds football to be the most interesting sport to support. Her most memorable moment on staff was during her freshman observation year, when an intense rainstorm left everyone soaked to their socks—a tough moment at the time that now serves as a favorite shared laugh among the aides. Five years down the road, Evan aims to hold degrees in Kinesiology and Psychology, earn a master's degree in Athletic Training, and secure at least four professional certifications, all driving toward her dream job of becoming the Head Athletic Trainer for an NFL team. Outside of sports medicine, she enjoys painting, listening to Bryson Tiller, and watching her favorite movie, Love Jones. Her favorite foods are ackee and saltfish or her dad's gumbo, and Thanksgiving is her favorite holiday thanks to baked mac & cheese.
