Prairie View A&M University Athletics

Karma Henley is a Junior Kinesiology major from Fort Worth, Texas, and a graduate of Western Hills High School. She chose Prairie View A&M University for its strong value as an in-state institution, with the opportunity to attend an HBCU serving as a standout perk. Recommended to the path by her high school AVID teacher, Karma joined the sports medicine staff as a Student Athletic Trainer Aide to support PVAMU athletes.

Karma considers patience to be the most vital skill an athletic trainer aide can possess. She finds volleyball to be the most interesting sport to work with, highlighting traveling to the SWAC Championship with the volleyball team as her most memorable moment on staff so far. Looking ahead five years, Karma aims to earn her master's degree and be actively pursuing a doctoral degree, with an ultimate dream job of becoming an NFL Athletic Trainer. Outside of her studies and athletic training duties, Karma enjoys reading, sleeping, and eating tater tots. Her favorite movie is In the Heights, her favorite entertainer is herself, and her favorite holiday is her birthday.
