Brayden Elliott Johnson is a right-handed outfielder/designated hitter, currently wearing #17 on the field. He is a graduate student pursuing his MBA at Prairie View A&M University. Brayden is originally from Longview, Texas, and attended Hallsville High School.
Brayden's go-to walk-up song is "Jesus Lord" by Kanye West, and his favorite all-time movie is The Blind Side. He loves his grandma's cornbread and yams, and Thanksgiving is his favorite holiday because it allows him to indulge in food without too much regret. In his spare time, Brayden enjoys helping and teaching others, creating new things, learning new skills, photography/videography, playing strategic games, and spending time with friends. His favorite MLB team is the Mets, particularly because of Juan Soto, whose competitions Brayden follows closely, rooting for every team he plays for. He believes that the greatest challenge athletes face today is ignoring the opinions of others and fully embracing themselves as athletes.
His most memorable moment in sports was hitting a go-ahead, opposite-field home run against Southern University at home in 2022. In five years, Brayden hopes to have a positive impact on many people's lives, although he isn't certain what that path will look like. His dream job is to become a college baseball coach. Brayden chose Prairie View A&M because of the shared hitting philosophy with Coach Riggins, who took him in during his visit, and their connection led him to commit.
