Prairie View A&M University Athletics

Joshua Kapp is a right-handed batter and thrower who plays both infield and pitcher for Prairie View A&M University. He is a freshman majoring in Business Management and hails from Cypress, Texas. Joshua’s favorite all-time movie is Central Intelligence, and his go-to food is lasagna. He loves Christmas because it allows him to spend quality time with his family. When not on the field, Joshua enjoys fishing, video games, and having fun with friends and family. His favorite MLB team is the Boston Red Sox, a team he’s supported since he was 4 years old, thanks to his mom.

For Joshua, the greatest challenge athletes face today is maintaining mental focus on the task at hand. One of his most memorable moments in sports was hitting a walk-off home run during his senior year of high school. Looking five years ahead, he hopes to have a job within the game of baseball, which is also his dream job. Joshua chose Prairie View A&M for the strong program and coaching staff that the school offers.
