Kenneth “Ken” Haynes is a left-handed pitcher for the Prairie View A&M University baseball team, wearing jersey number 12. A junior majoring in Kinesiology, Ken is originally from Dallas, Texas, and graduated from Naaman Forest High School before playing at Dallas College-Brookhaven.

Outside of baseball, Ken enjoys spending time playing with his dog and skiing. His favorite foods are chicken and steak, and his favorite movie is The Godfather. Valentine’s Day is his favorite holiday, as he enjoys the sentiment of the day. Ken is a fan of the Texas Rangers, his hometown team, and his go-to walk-up song is “ATL Freestyle.”

One of Ken’s most memorable moments in sports is having too many to choose from, as he’s had a wealth of significant experiences. In five years, he hopes to be the best version of himself, both in his athletic career and personal life. His dream job is to become a professional baseball player, and he chose Prairie View A&M for its strong coaching staff and the opportunity to pursue his aspirations of playing professional baseball. Ken recognizes that nutrition is one of the biggest challenges for athletes today and strives to stay focused on improving every aspect of his game.
