Michael "MG" Granson is a right-handed pitcher for the Prairie View A&M University baseball team, wearing jersey number 40. He is currently a graduate student majoring in Architecture, originally from Missouri City, Texas. Before joining Prairie View A&M, Michael played at Grambling State.
In his free time, Michael enjoys designing clothes and playing baseball. His favorite food is hot honey wings, and his all-time favorite movie is Friday After Next. His go-to walk-up song is "Zillionaire Doe - Back to the South." As a fan of the Houston Astros, he has been involved with the Astros RBI program since he was younger.
One of Michael’s most memorable moments in his sport was playing in the Breakthrough Series. He finds juggling school, work, and practice to be one of the greatest challenges athletes face today, but he remains focused on maintaining his goals. Five years from now, Michael hopes to have a signed contract and be playing in the Major Leagues.
Michael chose Prairie View A&M because the school felt like home to him, offering a supportive and welcoming environment that encourages growth both on and off the field.
