Dakaylon Senegal serves as the Athletic Equipment Manager at Prairie View A&M University, where he will assist with the daily operations of equipment services for all 18 NCAA Division I athletic programs. A proud PVAMU alumnus, Senegal brings a combination of technical expertise, hands-on experience, and deep institutional knowledge to his role.
Senegal is responsible for the coordination and oversight of equipment inventory, protective gear fitting and maintenance, game day and practice logistics, laundry operations, and sideline communication technology such as Coach Comm. He also supervises student managers and work-study personnel, ensuring consistent support and high standards across all sports.
A native of Texas, Senegal began his equipment career as a student manager at Prairie View A&M (2017–2023), working with football and all sports. He later expanded his skill set as a Graduate Assistant Equipment Manager at Texas Southern University, gaining experience in multi-sport logistics, budgeting, and staff oversight.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in General Studies with concentrations in Civil Engineering and Mathematics from PVAMU and is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) at Texas Southern University. Senegal is a certified member of the Athletic Equipment Managers Association (AEMA), underscoring his commitment to industry standards and athlete safety.
