Daniel Grate is a Computer Engineering major from Dallas, Texas. Combining a deep passion for technology and electronics with a love for all sports, Daniel joined the sports media team to merge his technical problem-solving background with real-world athletic event production.

Looking ahead to the media season, Daniel is eager to bring fresh, creative ideas to media days and game-time visuals. He aims to master the professional operation of behind-the-scenes video boards and production equipment, bridging technology and sports operations while building strong working relationships with staff, management, and fellow volunteers. On campus, Daniel is actively involved in the Dallas Club, the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE), the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), and the Robotics Club. In his free time, he enjoys playing video games, building and configuring PCs, playing sports at the rec, watching YouTube, and exploring new technology. Daniel’s favorite foods are Caesar salad and shrimp, his favorite movie is Home, and his favorite celebrity is Kehlani. Outside of his birthday, his favorite holiday is Christmas for the family gatherings, festive dinners, and memorable events.
