Prairie View A&M University Athletics

Nia Brown is an Accounting major from Humble, Texas. After previously competing as a Division II softball student-athlete before transferring to Prairie View A&M University, Nia brings a strong athletic background and dynamic perspective to the program. Driven by a desire to gain versatile sports coverage experience, she joined the team eager to learn the ins and outs of working across different sports, collaborating with new teammates, and taking in every hands-on opportunity with an open mind.

Looking ahead to the media season, Nia's primary goals are to stay adaptable, engage with everyone across the department, and continuously expand her skill set in sports operations. Outside of her academic studies and athletic program duties, Nia is an avid reader, traveler, cook, and fitness enthusiast who loves animals (though strictly not bugs!). Growing up in a household with five sisters and no brothers, she places a high value on community and teamwork. Nia's favorite meal is salmon, her go-to movie is Fast Five, and her favorite celebrity is Michael B. Jordan. Her favorite holiday is Christmas for the widespread joy, festive atmosphere, and tradition of exchanging gifts with family.
