Evan Williams is a forward from Plano, Texas, currently a graduate student pursuing his Masters in Business Administration. He previously attended Cornell, where he developed his skills and passion for basketball. Evan’s favorite NBA player is Carmelo Anthony, whose impressive post and mid-range game he admires.

Evan's all-time favorite movie is "The Pursuit of Happyness," a film that resonates with his values of perseverance and ambition. He enjoys Tex-Mex cuisine and looks forward to Thanksgiving for the opportunity to enjoy delicious food and quality time with his family.

Outside of basketball, Evan is an avid outdoor enthusiast who also enjoys reading, listening to music, and lifting weights. To him, being part of a team means working relentlessly with teammates towards a common goal, requiring trust, strong work ethic, and sacrifice.

He identifies mental health as one of the greatest challenges for athletes today, particularly in the age of social media, where “comparison is often the thief of joy.” One of his most memorable sports moments was dunking the ball for the first time in a 7th-grade game, an experience that left a lasting impression.

Looking ahead, Evan aims to excel in whatever path he chooses, whether that be playing basketball overseas or pursuing a career in the corporate world. His ultimate dream job is to become an entrepreneur, running his own business. He chose Prairie View A&M for its vibrant culture and supportive staff, which he believes will help him grow both professionally and personally.
