Biography
Logan Fields is a junior thrower from New Boston, Texas, competing in javelin, hammer, shot put, and discus. A graduate of New Boston High School, Fields has posted personal bests of 140 feet in the discus and 42 feet in the shot put. He enters the season aiming for a podium finish and continues to strive for excellence in each of his events.
Fields is majoring in Agriculture and was inspired to run track by his father. One of his most memorable moments came in high school when he advanced to regionals and won his area in two events. He believes one of the greatest challenges for athletes today is getting caught up in social media, and he uses his focus and determination to stay on track.
Off the field, Fields enjoys reading, working out, cooking, and trying new things. His favorite movie is Revenge of the Sith, Druski is his favorite entertainer, and he loves chicken Alfredo. Fields dreams of competing in the Olympics and chose Prairie View A&M following in the footsteps of his parents.
