Biography
Ronzell Woods is a freshman sprinter and hurdler from Kennett, Missouri, competing in the hurdles and 400m. A graduate of Manor High School, he comes into the season with personal bests of 37.50 in the 300m hurdles, 14.18 in the 110m hurdles, and 48.6 in the 400m. Woods aims to become a SWAC champion and establish himself as the fastest freshman hurdler.
Woods is majoring in Nursing and credits Jesus Christ as his inspiration and motivation in track. One of his most memorable moments in the sport was overcoming struggles in high school hurdles to now compete successfully at the collegiate level. He believes that avoiding distractions and staying disciplined are some of the biggest challenges athletes face today.
Off the track, Woods enjoys playing video games and is a fan of Wingstop. His favorite movie is Spider-Man, and he lists Kai Cenat as his favorite entertainer. Looking ahead, he hopes to earn a six-figure salary and pursue a career as a neonatologist. He chose Prairie View A&M because of the guidance and support of Coach Clay.
