Sebastian Cruz is a freshman at Prairie View A&M University, where he is pursuing a major in Business. He hails from the Bronx, NY, and competes in the 400m, 800m, mile, and 4x4 relay events. His personal best in the 800m is a testament to his dedication and skill on the track.

Cruz was inspired to join track due to the solo competition aspect of the sport. It gives him the opportunity to focus solely on his own performance, without the pressure of relying on others. Moreover, track became a positive outlet, offering a productive way to stay engaged and avoid trouble. One of his most memorable moments in the sport was when he ran his first Division I times, marking a significant milestone in his athletic journey.

A lover of Dominican and Italian food, Cruz enjoys hobbies like listening to music, drawing, gambling, and focusing on school. His favorite holiday is Thanksgiving, a time he cherishes for bringing his family together.

Looking to the future, Cruz aims to be a role model to his siblings and family, using his passion for track to inspire others. He believes mental health is one of the greatest challenges athletes face today, a challenge he continues to overcome with determination. His ultimate goal for this season is to win and prove people wrong, while working toward success and financial stability in the coming years.
