Biography
William Osby II is a freshman from Las Vegas, NV, specializing in the 400-meter hurdles and 110-meter hurdles. A graduate of Rock Hill High School in Frisco, Texas, he has personal bests of 55.2 seconds in the 400MH and 14.9 seconds in the 110MH. One of his most memorable moments came when he ran at Oregon Track for the first time, which fueled his goal of running a 52-second 400MH this season.
Osby is majoring in Kinesiology and is inspired by his family, including his sister and father, as well as hurdler Grant Holloway. He is motivated by leaving a legacy in track and identifies the challenge of comparing oneself to other athletes as a key obstacle for athletes today. His long-term ambition is to make it to nationals and set school records in his events.
Off the track, Will enjoys collecting and listening to music, and his favorite movie is Black Panther. He loves Candy Yams and celebrates Christmas for the extended break and gift-giving. With a passion for both athletics and coaching, Osby is committed to excellence and plans to leave a lasting mark in the sport.
