Biography

Caidence "Bookie" Martin is a redshirt sophomore from Pearland, Texas, who plays utility (UTL) for the Prairie View A&M team. She is pursuing a Kinesiology major and previously attended J. Frank Dobie High School. Her jersey number is 12.

Caidence believes the biggest lesson softball has taught her is that her talent is a gift from God. Her favorite all-time movie is Avatar, and her favorite entertainer is Jhené Aiko. She loves hibachi food and enjoys hiking and reading in her free time.

One of her most memorable moments in softball is hitting her first home run. In five years, Caidence hopes to have increased awareness of heart and kidney disease and achieved her dream job as a Life Flight nurse, Navy nurse, or travel nurse. She chose Prairie View A&M because of the strong relationship she built with the coaches.
