Prairie View A&M University Athletics

Deja Evans, known as Deja or Dej, is a dedicated soccer player with a deep passion for the sport. Her lifelong love for soccer, along with her family’s support and a strong aversion to losing, fuels her competitive drive on the field.

Deja enjoys a range of foods including sushi, pho, and pasta, and she loves Christmas for its ability to bring families together. Her favorite movie is Fight Club, and outside of soccer, she engages in reading, swimming, and crafting.

One of her most notable achievements was winning the State Cup. Deja acknowledges mental health and the pressures faced by athletes as significant challenges in today’s sports environment. In the next five years, she aims to continue playing Division I soccer and make a meaningful impact on her team, with aspirations of becoming a psychologist.

Deja chose Prairie View A&M University for its excellent facilities, which align with her goals and support her athletic and academic ambitions.
