Prairie View A&M University Athletics

Za’Riya Bell-Morris is a freshman at Prairie View A&M University, majoring in Communications. Originally from Spring, Texas, she is excited to join the PVAMU Student Media Team for the 2024–25 season. With a passion for creativity and connecting with others, Za’Riya looks forward to meeting new people, making meaningful connections on campus, and growing as a media professional.

A former dual-sport athlete in track and softball, Za’Riya continues her athletic career as a member of the PVAMU softball team. Her athletic background fuels her interest in sports media and her goal of learning more about different sports while enhancing her skills in video and image production. Although she’s new to the technical side of media, she is eager to gain hands-on experience with equipment and editing tools throughout the season.

Outside of athletics and media, Za’Riya enjoys expressing her creativity through hobbies like building Legos, painting, and doing makeup. Her fun-loving personality shines especially during her favorite holiday, Halloween, when she enjoys the fall weather, dressing up, and spending time with friends. Her favorite movie is Men in Black 3, and she is a fan of actor Damson Idris. When it comes to food, chicken Alfredo is her go-to dish.

Family is also a big part of who she is. Za’Riya is one of eight siblings and a proud aunt to two nieces and a nephew. Through the student media program, she hopes to step out of her comfort zone, build her network, and grow personally and professionally. Her drive, athletic experience, and creative spirit make her a valuable addition to the team.
